With spectacular views across the River Tay, Tatha Bar and Kitchen brings delicious family dining to Dundee’s waterfront. This restaurant, nestled within the new V&A Dundee proudly operates a scratch kitchen, which means that the dishes are created fresh each morning, the journey from farm to fork as short as possible. The menu is as impressive as the V&A Dundee itself is, and is as tied to the land as the building is – with mesmerising views across the river. Working with fantastic suppliers from Tayside and neighbouring Fife, including Dundee’s own 71 Brewing, Fisher and Donaldson, Simon Howie, and Jannetta’s Ice Cream, the menu has been carefully considered and is sure to please.
The lunch menu includes specialities like smoked Perthshire salmon royal, an open breakfast burrito and a chickpea tagine flatbreads. Sharing plates are available for a light lunch, or act as more substantial starters, and include east coast pea hummus, confit duck wings and popcorn shrimp. As night falls on the silvery Tay, the evening menu includes larger plates, offering main dishes such as char-grilled Puddledub buffalo steak and crispy fried East Lothian chicken. Guests can also enjoy a tapas style dinner by selecting multiple sharing plates.
Tatha Bar and Kitchen will be open during museum hours, seven days a week. From Thursday to Sunday, the restaurant will be open until late.
