[16th – 25 August]
St Andrews gallery Upstairs @ J & G Innes Ltd is hosting 4Artists: an exhibition featuring four Fife artists Pam Robertson, Liz Craig, Jean Le Maitre and Carole Tricker, working in a variety of media.
Pam Robertson is a biologist and artist living in St Andrews – her paintings of animals and plants use inks, watercolour, collage and printing techniques. She will also have cards and craft work for sale.
Liz Craig works mostly in pastels as she loves the vibrant colours. They allow her to make gestural marks, letting imagination play its part. Much of her inspiration comes from the Scottish landscape and coast.
Jean Le Maitre works using fine linen, silk or cotton to creat her samplers. She uses old and new patterns to create her own unique designs. She is happy to undertake commissions.
Carole Tricker has lived most of her life in Scotland and drew on the mountains, lochs and beaches for the inspiration for her weavings. More recently, the patterns and texture of driftwood and shells have been reflected in her work.
