The Aberfeldy Gallery is presenting two of Scotland’s most distinguished artists in a joint exhibition. Margaret Evans is known internationally for her pastel painting, writing and teaching. She also depicts her worldwide travels in acrylic, watercolour and – her first love – oils, painting en plein air whenever possible. She paints landscapes, still lifes and floral studies and undertakes portrait and animal commissions. Author of many art books, she also appears in TV programmes. Gillian Goodheir obtained her DA in Drawing & Painting from Glasgow School of Art and since the late 1970s has lived in Argyll, the inspiration for her landscapes. Working with gouache, she captures light on water or through glass and its effect on colour to create landscapes, seascapes, still lifes with flowers and even her hens in the garden.
