RGI Kelly Gallery, Glasgow: Creating Connections

Stuart Duffin - 'If Angels cast Shadows…’, Media Mezzotint engraving

18th January – 8th February

Refurbished over December and new year, the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts (RGI) Kelly Gallery is to re-open with Creating Connections. A response to our troubled times, the truly global exhibition highlights the international links of Scotland’s contemporary art scene, of which Scotland can be proud, as a nation. All the artists have travelled to various reaches of the globe including Canada, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Iceland, Jerusalem and the Arctic, and through the variety of their works, the exhibition will highlight the personal stories and the social and creative impact that each country’s colours, people and culture has made on them.

The exhibition will display works by Sam Ainsley, Lesley Burr, Jack McGarrity, Lesley Finlayson, Rosemary Beaton, June Carey, Marina Renee-Cemmick and Stuart Duffin.
