Over 200 artists and makers take part in North East Open Studios (NEOS), which this year have added two new disciplines: Heritage Craft to celebrate the area’s creative history and Digital Art to showcase the creative use of technology.

The Open Studios Weekend at St Margaret’s House
reveals the wealth of creativity going on in that big, brown former office block along from Meadowbank Stadium. Free workshops, a pop-up cafe and one-off performances will also take place on all eight floors.

Over 70 artists and makers are taking part in Open Studios Ayrshire, including many new participants. As well as individual studios and galleries, venues include the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway, the Maclaurin Galleries in Ayr and Dumfries House in Cumnock.
