The annual Creative Whithorn Arts & Crafts Trail links shops, studios, galleries, barns and houses throughout the historic Wigtownshire town. Visitors can view and buy a wide range of locally produced art and craft, from textiles, ceramics, woodcraft, painting and printmaking to jewellery, glasswork, photography and metalwork. Highlights from over two dozen participants include delightful townscapes by Davy Brown, abstract work by Liz Perry, landscapes by Kevan McGinty, ceramics by Peter Wareing and hand-crafted pieces by KGR Glass. Five More, an accompanying exhibition in the Visitor Centre’s Ninian Gallery (until Sep 2) features landscapes and plant studies by Pamela Grace, ceramics by Archie McCall, photography by Phil McMenemy, screenprinting by Sarah Keast and glasswork by Rachel Elliott.
