Top chef Nico Simione doesn’t just cook dinner, according to his website he ‘carefully curates constantly evolving concepts’. This week sees the launch of his brand new turnaround menu which recalls fond childhood memories while drawing inspiration from fabulous Scottish produce. From 24th April the creative six course spread includes a cheeky ‘Egg and Soldiers’ featuring a confit yolk alongside haddock and asparagus, while a main of ‘Hamburger’ is actually pulled pork with burnt onion jus and charred lettuce.
School dinners never inspired this much delight and at a mere 25 quid a head, the prices are pretty old school too. The ‘Childhood’ menu runs till the 4th of June and can include some expert wine pairing choices for an extra £25. A quality Vegetarian menu is also available following the same six course concept.
