Catriona Millar

Catriona Millar is one of Scotland’s most popular figurative artists. Since her 2005 Degree Show at Gray’s School of Art sold out within hours, she has exhibited across the UK, winning the respect and acclaim of collectors, critics and leading galleries. Like a novelist or playwright, she brilliantly combines her life experience and her imaginary world in her work. Fuelled by wonderful colour and pattern, her paintings possess an emotional resonance and a deep truth.

Gillian Goodheir & Madeleine Hand

Gillian Goodheir, Dancing Waves, gouache

Gillian Goodheir is one of the most collected artists at Tolquhon Gallery. A graduate of Glasgow School of Art, she is known for both her landscapes and still lifes. Painting in gouache, which she handles with exceptional skill in a fluid spontaneous, style, her paintings are brimming with light and energy. Her work is held in collections throughout the UK (including the Permanent Collection of the Palace of Westminster) and worldwide.

Madeleine Hand is also a graduate of Glasgow School of Art, where she specialised in illustration. Her paintings have an individual, recognisable style defined by an immaculate sense of line and colour, coupled with an unerring eye for making the everyday moments of life beautiful. Madeleine has created many commissions, including work for Scottish Ballet, Ivor Cutler and Perth Festival of the Arts.
