THE TORRANCE GALLERY
DECEMBER 3–JANUARY 14
Christmas Exhibition, including Jewellery by Sheana Stephen
Jolomo, Christmas morning, Dirlton Kirk, 24x24"
Some of Scotland’s best artists come together under one roof, as The Torrance Gallery presents a selection of work which is up to its usual high standard.
Surprisingly, with 220 paintings by over 70 artists, the gallery has still managed to find space to display sculpture, ceramics and glass, for a wonderful show full of Christmas spirit and the promise of solving all your gift problems with prices ranging from under £50 to £4,000.
Inspired by flowers and the garden, legends and the texture of the sea and the shore, jeweller Sheana Stephen uses silver, gold, pearls and semi-precious stones to create individual pieces.

Jolomo: ‘Boats, Crofts and Kirks’
In this exhibition one of Scotland’s best loved contemporary artists, John Lowrie Morrison (“Jolomo”) explores the Hebridean Islands in all weathers. He comments on his art: “It’s like a physical thing you’ve got to do. There is absolutely no other reason why I get up in the morning. I just can’t wait to get into the studio and paint.”
