SUN GALLERY

Pat Krameck, The Bridge, £1,100

The Sun Gallery’s continually changing range of contemporary art and design brings together collections of original paintings, sculptures, bronzes, textile art, furniture, ceramics, jewellery, glass art and limited edition prints.

Artists on show include Pat Krameck, John Johnstone, Charles Monteith Walker, Ian Cook, John Davie, Heather Soutar, Rob Hain, Ken Bushe, Stella Auchinleck, Paul Bartlet. Also for sale are the latest series of limited editions from Todd White, Ian Faulkner, Mary Ann Rogers and Sue Howells.

Opened in May 2006, Sun Gallery was lovingly restored by local artist and businessman Nick Moss to realise his vision of a showcase for the rich creativity and talent in the local area and throughout Scotland. The impressive property had been both a draper’s and a carpet shop, latterly standing empty. Nick’s vision not only revived it, but opened a venue for local and national artists to exhibit.

Nick has brought together an inspired collection and also offers a framing service and range of art cards, gifts, curios and objets d’art. The rotational nature of the exhibits ensures that on every visit there will always be more of the familiar, but always spiced with something new.
