GULLANE ART GALLERY

DECEMBER 3-JANUARY 15

Christmas Show

Muriel Barclay, Hot Shade, 30x36”, oil on canvas

The Christmas exhibition at Gullane Art Gallery features the work of five popular artists, all established gallery favourites - Muriel Barclay, George Birrell, Matt Curtis, Fiona Millar and Gail Pope - along with a selection of recent works by such names as Marion Drummond, Jack Morrocco, Peter Howson, John Mackie and Matthew Draper.

Muriel Barclay has prepared a number of her stunning figurative works composed of colourful ladies at rest and at play in the sun, in backstage rehearsal and playing violin. George Birrell includes a special painting being used for his Christmas card this year entitled Christmas at the Harbour and complements this with a range of pieces focused on the essence of the East Neuk as well as Highland castles.

Gail Pope, Venetian memories

Matt Curtis has produced a number of wonderful new still life works in his realism style and Fiona Millar presents her latest collection of stylised floral works.

Up and coming artist Gail Pope introduces new traditional and contemporary still life paintings, which are beautifully structured and illustrate her draughtsmanship and keen eye for composition and tonal colour.

The mixed show has huge variety across all genres, from ethereal landscapes to high quality figurative works, from both contemporary and traditional still lifes to design-led compositions, from French and Venetian scenes to floral works - and at a range of prices to suit most pockets.
