Watch arrived in Edinburgh in 1998 with a mission. We wanted to sell watches and we wanted to do it in a way that was exciting, new and different. With a focus on contemporary design, affordable fashion and dedicated customer service, Watch provided a choice of watches and clocks that had never been seen in Edinburgh and rarely seen in the rest of the UK. more...

As brands such as Swatch & Storm attracted the students, the introduction of Mondaine, the official Swiss Railways clocks and German precision mechanical experts Junghans Max Bill proved to be irresistible for the genuine design aficionados. We now cater for everyone from the under 5s to those who require their watches and clocks to be solar powered, radio controlled or fitted with a digital compass. In December 2007 we opened our Melville Place branch in Edinburgh’s West End. Five times bigger than our Forrest Road store and taking its interior design styling inspiration from 1920s Vienna, Watch West End is nothing short of a dream for those who love all things fun and horological. More space means more watches from design gurus such as Jacob Jensen and Alessi, more clocks from the likes of Karlsson and Newgate and the introduction of an extensive collection of jewellery from Pilgrim and Edinburgh long time favourites, Joe Cool.

In September 2008 we brought Watch to St Andrews. Only a little bigger than Forrest Road store and with an even more impressive collection of jewellery than the West End store , Watch St Andrews has already proved to be a resounding success with locals and tourists alike. Our ambition now is still as it has always been, to offer something a little different from your average high street shop. Our commitment to seeking out cutting edge design and keeping our pices reasonable means that anyone can afford a watch that is both beautiful and functional. In 2010 Watch is turning the focus back to where it started, cutting edge contemporary design. We’re keeping it simple, functional and perfect. Leading the way are the official Swiss railway watches, Mondaine, Italian design factory, Alessi and Industrial design guru, Jacob Jensen.
